Glen Stanaway highlighted the lucky ending to the very serious accident was attributed to a number of reasons:
1. Personal Safety Training
2. AIS & PLB activations working together
3. Quick release harness / possibility to get away from the boat
The accidents involving head injuries has today not gone further than accidents.
SP197 – Sydney Harbour Friday Twilight Report
Glen Stanaway reported that the importance of communication between clubs racing in the same area.
Recommendations were made to AUS Sailing to facilitate and call for better education.
