  1. ESP 1      –  Flotation date limitation – Discussion about the principle of upholding the flotation date as a maximum of 10 years of age. Risk of losing certificates versus higher quality of data in the certificates. Specified to only be applicable to International certificates. Concern from many MNAs about the impact on the existing fleet. Principle of grandfathering also under scrutiny.

  1. SWE 1 – Adjusting the base of the mast while racing – Accepting the ESP 2 approach and wording which in turn accepts the ITC approach
  2. c) ESP 3  – Measurement conditions – Accepted
  • ESP 5  – Post-race equipment inspection
    • OCEC approach of accepting to review is accepted by the MC as well – accepted with
  • EST 3      – ORC Manager software access
    • Access to the ORC manager is limited by good reason. The IMS editor is available and being used and will be the response thus the submission is rejected.
  • FIN 3 – STORM SAILS MEASUREMENT AND AREA CALCULATION
    • Discussions about whether the sails can be easier to measure. Conclusion, deferred but addition to IMS rules in G4.2… about how to measure and calculate areas is going to be added!
  • FIN 5 – Outriggers & USA 6  – Outriggers
    • Lacking of RRS and ERS definitions as well as ORC Aero model. We can measure but how, will need to be postponed.
    • Deferred until 2026.
  • FIN 6      – Liferaft in measurement trim
    • Discussed already in 2024 and the MC decided to follow the ITC approach:
VPP is using sailing trim that is calculated from the measurement trim adding weight of the crew, sails, gear and equipment. Adding liferaft to the measurement trim can cause boats to start being measured with the liferaft to get better rating.
  • GER 3 – Measurement condition documentation
    • Already decided in 2023 (Malaga AGM), but still lacking IT implementation. Upheld!
  • GER 4 – Sail numbers
    • – Postponed to RO committee
  • GER 5  – In-House certification
    • – Deferred and a meeting with WS IHC Officials to be held.
  • SWE 2  – Spreaders and jumpers
    • – Passes, exact formulation to be defined.
  • USA 5 – Mast measurement conditions
    • Passes, clarification of exact formulation to be defined.
  • Any other business
    • Zoran brought up a few interesting tables.
    • Not OK according to IMS Appendix 1
