AGENDA – with notes
- Approval of Minutes of 2024 meeting – approved
- Submissions
- ESP 5 – Post-race equipment inspection – was discussed eagerly and was approved by the committee with the friendly amendment that the policy should be reviewed arguing that the current structure is working well for the purpose set out but the texts could be clearer.
- EST 1 – Championship format – Discussed back and forth and this was according to the committee a problem needing addressing but no possibility during the meeting to friendly amend the submission to make it pass. Thus the Non discardable last race submission was rejected.
- FIN 1 – Events financial expenses and cost structure – According to the representatives in the committee also working in the Management Committee there is work in progress in creating a standard contract with clearer divisions over responsibilities and liabilities for costs etc. Submission was thus supported.
- FIN 2 – Sustainability certification for ORC championships – Passes clearly!
- USA 11 – Digital starting lines tools – Matthew Gallagher, Felix Wiedling and Steve Benjamin argued the benefits of using electronic assistance in the start situation. Eckart Riencke informed that the way these tools work is actually in conflict with the Racing Rules of Sailing. Submission passes with the friendly amendment ”Encourage and monitor the development of digital tools”
